I am by no means a pick me girl and have many close girlfriends but one thing that is always hard for me is girly lil parties. I always go bc showing up for my friends is more important than my preferences but this is not really part of my Alaskan social repertoire.

When I moved away for college, once every few weeks I’d get a card from my dad with a stack of $2s, or as he called them, “coffee coupons”. My mom found one more stack in an old jacket as she cleaned out my childhood home and sent them to me along w this coin. 😭😭😭

I lost almost 100 pounds in my early 20s.
I’ve gained some of that back.
I did not grow up in a “healthy” household. This stuff is hard. The size of people’s bodies tells a much more complex story than you think sometimes. Be kind, always.
