According to Saxo Grammaticus, in medieval Danish law when a foreigner slew a Dane, two foreigners must be put to death.
Disproportionate penalty was seen as justice because foreigners lacked the same kinship and legal protections (weregild) that Danes enjoyed, so the society mandated a harsher, collective penalty for them. They believed rulers owed their people an uncompromising deterrent to prevent outsiders from disturbing the peace or assaulting native Danes.

This is the “Web of Wyrd”, which every rune can be drawn from, but it’s a much younger concept than what most people come to assume of it.
Its name was coined by english psychiatrist Brian Bates in his 1983 novel titled “The Way of Wyrd”.
However, the symbol wouldn’t appear for another 10yrs—it was created by author Jan Fries in his 1993 book titled “Helrunar: A Manual of Rune Magick”.

Even in 390 CE, people knew that Celts, Germans, Slavs, Romans, or Greeks were not the real Jews or the lost tribes of Israel. And we’re talking about a Roman Emperor - a man who received the best education possible at the time.
He made good points and had an interesting way of criticizing the Bible and proving it to be man-made, different from the usual takes you hear on X.
