Unionists may have badly overplayed their hand again re Murrell. Their 'inquiry' stunt could backfire spectacularly if the SNP back the Greens' call for an independent inquiry into finances of *every* party at Holyrood. Tory black money, Sarwar's cash from McGills etc.
Rerunning the Murrell police probe wouldn't get public backing, but opening up scrutiny of *every* Holyrood party's finances to make sure they're all clean, secure and above board is different.
