Today would have been Queen Elizabeth’s 100th birthday and what a thrill it was performing for Her Majesty when I was a young boy at the Calgary Stampede in 1973, when she was in town to officially open the Stampede and celebrate the 100th anniversary of the RCMP. 🇨🇦

Today is the 109th Anniversary of The Battle of Vimy Ridge and I was honoured to deliver this message from the Vimy Memorial in France three years ago. Finally,
my brave relative led 250 troops of the 20th Battalion at 24 years old and was fortunate to make it home. 🇨🇦

Johnny Cash’s last Calgary show in Calgary took place 4 months before the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics on November 16th. Here’s a fun photo of the Man in Black throwing a snow ball outside the Jubilee Auditorium. On a side note I am a big fan of his music! 🇨🇦

What a thrill it was 36 years ago, February 13th, 1988! I performed in the Opening Ceremonies of the Calgary Winter Olympics. Also, given I wore red in the ‘Olympic Circles Choir’ as seen in this photo and yesterday was Valentines Day I thought I would share. Cheers ❤️

With all due respect to the Leaning Tower of Pisa that is 844 years old, I am much more impressed with the 70-75 million year old leaning hoodoos of Drumheller Alberta I saw yesterday! 🇨🇦
