On behalf of Lisa's family, we would like to thank everybody for the incredible kindness, support and messages received over days. The love shown towards Lisa, John, Del and the wider family has provided great comfort during an incredibly difficult time. The family have been deeply touched by the compassion shown by so many people across the Port Vale community, the football family and beyond. The family have asked us to pass on their sincere thanks to everyone who has reached out, shared memories and offered support. The funeral service will be a private family occasion. We know many supporters and friends will wish to pay their respects in person, and the family are truly grateful for those sentiments. However, they have asked for privacy at this time so they can come together and remember Lisa surrounded by their closest family and friends. The greatest tribute supporters can offer is to keep Lisa, John, Del and all of the family in their thoughts during the days and weeks ahead. Thank you once again for your kindness, understanding and support.

Everyone at Port Vale was deeply saddened to learn of the tragic passing of Lisa, the beloved daughter of John and Del Rudge. Our love and sympathies are with them at this unimaginably difficult time, and we ask on their behalf that their privacy be respected. John, Del and the entire Rudge family remain in our thoughts and will be given the full support of the football club. 🤍🖤
