We validated 2 #Diabetes remission scores in pts w BMI above 5️⃣0️⃣ undergoing SG & RYGB
🔺 Pts w lower IMS & higher Robert et al scores had higher T2DM remission rates.
🔺RYGB & SG had similar T2DM remission rates #SAGES2023

In some countries, anesthesia mortality is as high as 1 in 133-1000 due to workforce & resource constraints.
