After finishing ground school, I completed my first flight in the Cessna 441 Conquest II with Key West Executive Air Charter today. Looking forward to many more flights while I move through their Second in Command pilot development program!

Took two groups of EAA Introduction to Aviation students for their graduation flights this morning! Was a blast giving each kid a chance to fly a leg that they planned between Orlando Exec, Leesburg, and Kissimmee. Here are the before and after pics.

Kaylee says I’m not a gymnast, can’t do the balance beam, and if the fall doesn’t kill me she will. So looks like I will be looking for a screen repair person.

Excited to announce I have accepted a First Officer position with Seaborne Airlines flying the Twin Otter on floats between St. Croix and St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. Looking forward to getting paid to do what I love in paradise! Training starts August 19th.

Thank you @amysweezey for setting up this advanced screening of #TwistersMovie! I really enjoyed the movie. The graphics make the movie real intense and I thought it was a good story too. Plus, it was great to hang out with all my meteorologist friends for a few hours!

Very relieved to have finally hit my 1500 hour requirement to join the airlines! It’s been a lot of work and I’m thankful to have a very supportive wife. Now it’s time to continue fixing planes as an airframe maintenance apprentice while I wait on a training date with Frontier.

Made it past the 1000 hour mark of flying time. Just 500 more to go for airline minimums. It has been a lot being in an airplane for 10-15 hours a day, 7 days a week, but the grind is definitely worth it. I am looking forward to having some free time again in a few weeks though!

Haven’t posted much because I’ve been grinding out flight hours. However, I’m excited I passed my Commercial Multiengine check ride this morning! Now I’m qualified to fly planes with more than 1 engine for hire! Now back to flying 10-15 hrs a day. Past the 1/2 mark to 1500hrs!
