I'm thrilled to share that I will be starting as the William Lyon Mackenzie King Postdoctoral Fellow at @Harvard and @HarvardWCFIA, where I'll continue my comparative research on Canadian and American politics!
Had a lot of fun speaking to @carynceolin this morning on @breakfasttv We talk about last night's byelection in Battle River - Crowfoot, what happened and what comes next for the Conservative Party and Pierre Poilievre:

Went for dinner. Drove in my friend’s Tesla and had to pay double the parking fee because the valet insisted the car needed to be hidden from view! @elonmusk can we be reimbursed?
Still so much to unpack about the election, but one thing clear is that Trump can really no longer be called an aberration or an accident

One more media hit to share, I talk about the possible economic impact of Trump's election for Ontario and electric vehicles... (apologies that you all have to see my face)

Also, New Haven pizza is the real deal.
In his dissertation, @Lkrashinsky examines white working-class voting in Canada and the United States. A wide-ranging and multi-method study that employs surveys, experiments, and in-depth interviews.
ALT Lewis Krashinsky, american politics and comparative politics. expertise: canadian and american politics, political behavior, electoral politics. dissertation: across the detroit river: the electoral divergence of the north american white working class. committee: chris achen, paul frymer, peter loewen, and mark beissinger
It was a real privilege and pleasure to serve on Lewis’ committee. He’s completed a wonderfully rich dissertation, exploring the reasons white working class voters vary so much on either side of the Detroit River. Genuinely multi method work on an important question. Chapeau.
