Alex Dyson (he/him) is a radio personality, author, Warrnambool local and the fastest potato peeler at the Koroit Irish Festival. He took a break from his Aria-award-winning comedy and media career to run as an Independent for Wannon at the recent Federal election. Alex’s campaign has been recognised for engaging young people in politics, in a country where the average MP is 51 years old.

Aaron Morgan (he/him) is a 26-year-old Gunditjmara man who has been in conservation and land management for nearly a decade. He worked his way up and became the Senior Budj Bim Ranger at 21, and is currently one of the World Heritage Rangers. Aaron has also represented his community internationally, including at the First Nations gathering in Canada and the World Heritage Young Professionals Forum in Azerbajan.

Melis Layik (she/her) is a Turkish writer, creative and activist, passionate about women’s rights, queer identity and mental health advocacy. She is committed to destigmatising mental illness and is open about her experiences with eating disorders and borderline personality disorder. Melis has worked with organisations like CMY and IWDA, and written for the likes of The Guardian and The Age. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Global Studies at Monash University.
