@edinhelp The grey bins on Glenlee Avenue have not been emptied for over 2 weeks. And the food bin for nearly 2 weeks. When will they be done?

A1: Not all activity has to be carried out within the VLE or even on a screen. Consider analogue activities or alternative means for interacting with materials, such as audio-only. #LTHEchat

Please, everyone, if you read one thing this weekend make it this. Thank you @meropemills for sharing the heartbreaking story of how the NHS failed your beloved daughter Martha. As a doctor, it is deeply painful to read, but every word so vitally important.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle…

Yes! So many roles rolled up into instructional design. We can't be expected to be project managers, writers, editors, graphic designers, media producers, learning theorists...

I don't know who needs to hear this, but I'm giving ya'll permission to NOT love or be a master of all aspects of instructional design! There...I said it! 🧵 (1) #LearningAndDevelopment #LnD #eLearning #InstructionalDesign

Twice in the last week I’ve heard from authors with stories to tell who’ve been discouraged by traditional publishers turning them down. Each time I’ve tried to explain the commercial realities of the publishing industry. I thought this might be useful for others too. 1/11

New research shows men and women recognise a slightly different set of words. This is yet another reminder of how important it is to consider your reader – and perhaps to save words like ‘bushido’ and ‘bouclé’ unless you know your audience really well! ow.ly/6UcW50HZP3N

This whole "the NYT ruined Wordle!" thing is a great case study in confirmation bias. It also gives us some insight into human nature that helps explain how conspiracy theories work.
