ICs dove deep into The Impact Cycle this week—reading the framework, practicing real scenarios, watching video demos, & breaking down what works. Already seeing early momentum with ICs ready to apply it & make an impact. Excited to run this again next spring! 🔄 #KISD#SecCI
Great conversations between Assistant Principals on how to partner with Instructional Coaches to advance student learning through building teacher capacity. #SecCI
Instructional coaches completed backwards planning training on Friday - our first in-person choice session! They generated coaching questions that will empower teams to plan from meaningful student outcomes. Ready to build team capacity across all contexts! #SecCI#KISD
Just wrapped 2 amazing days with the ICs exploring ways to empower teachers! So inspired by their passion & can’t wait to see their continued growth this year! 🚀 #SecCI#KatyISD#instructionalcoachesmakeadifference
KISD Instructional Coaches are kicking off the year w/ powerful professional learning, diving into our theme: Empowering Over Enabling. Together, we’re building capacity, not dependency - and leading with intention. #SecCI#LearneditatDTD#InstructionalCoachingMakesADifference

Finished the Rice Nano RET internship by creating and facilitating an engineering design lesson inspired by the nanotech research I did this summer. I’m glad I got the opportunity to experience science in such a cool way! Thank you @RiceU_STEM@STEMquinn!
Last week of the Rice Nano RET program! It’s been a lot of work, but rewarding to work with and learn from scientists who are generating knowledge! 👇🏼Looking for microplastics in human sample using a massive, special electron microscope.
I’ve taught about scanning electron microscopes and I’ve shown students images produced by them, but I have never seen one in person. This particular one at Rice was huge and it was pretty awesome to see it in action while taking pictures of the synthesized nanoparticles!
1st day of Rice RET internship done! ✅ Bumped into a former student who is doing Comp Sci summer research! She reminisced about her time at SL & even told me bio was her favorite class! Sweet & unexpected encounter! Excited to leverage this opportunity to motivate more students!
