Hi #EconTwitter,
I am on the Job Market!
My primary fields are Labor, Migration, and Political Economy. My secondary fields are Macro and Growth.
In my 1st JMP, I examine how the global spread of the Internet affects immigrants' socio-economic integration in the US.🧵
Seeing the rise of agentic research, I wonder if it can reshuffle sub-field choices (of humans)? AI mostly accesses publicly available and pre-existing data (right?) So, experimental, RCTs-development, "admin data" labor, etc. - all will rise (i.e. remain human-dominant)?
@AlexMYarkin on how the internet changed the migration experience. As access expands at home, immigrants in the US stay connected to origin networks, leading to lower English proficiency and naturalization, but less segregation and higher well-being.
Very excited about the upcoming visit to the @BristolUniEcon for the Workshop on Migration Economics.
Here is the (amazing!) program: baem.info/Program_MIG_26.pdf It's a real honor to be a part of this amazing group of researchers.
Congrats to our 2026 job market candidates! All placed in tenure track, postdoc, and research roles. We are grateful to everyone who supported their success. economics.brown.edu/academic…

It's been a treat to welcome @giov_peri at @EconomicsUCD last Friday. As always, extremely energetic and motivating presentation, lots of other research talk around, and a bonus hike around Dublin. That's how good visits should be 😊
We are pleased to share that NIDE now has a website (sites.google.com/view/nideec…) where you can find information about the network and our activities. The website also includes a link to a short form (shorturl.at/pd0hQ) that allows you to become a NIDE affiliate.
