I am ashamedly late to the delights of Toby's brilliant podcasts. They are a joy to listen to and utterly fascinating, thanks to Toby's amazing knowledge and wonderful comedic style. Well worth a listen, you won't be disappointed!
Patrons a quite far ahead with happy times and places. We've just enjoyed actual Doctor Who writer Peter Harness telling us his favourite things about State of Decay. patreon.com/posts/ht-p-108-4…

Oliver does this so brilliantly. And this is why connecting to the past is such a lovely thing. It’s not just finding the missing shows : it’s what they represent to the people in them (and their loved ones).

I can only imagine the time this video takes Toby every year. It is a beautiful tribute to so many talented people on both sides of the camera, who have worked on Doctor Who, amongst other many things.
Time to look back at 2025 one more time. My annual Doctor Who In Memoriam is on You Tube now. Please watch, like and circulate. Oh, and please just be nice about it and Doctor Who as there are plenty of other places you can be otherwise. youtu.be/mfNDgewmlEU?si=iosi…

Please listen to Absent Friends (in which I remember contributors to sci-fi, horror and fantasy who left us this year) on Radio 4 Extra at 16.45 (repeated at 00.45). Part 2 is tomorrow. 4 Extra doesn’t make many original productions so do tune in, it’s a labour of love.

Thora Hird's performance in Alan Bennett's Talking Heads is always singled out, and quite right too. But Patricia Routledge's performance as Irene Ruddock in A Lady of Letters breaks your heart. I've never forgotten this scene. Patricia was an incredible dramatic actress.

This is a hugely positive development. Obviously they could do with any donations so if what they’re doing is up your street and you have a little cash to spare…
