Searched for AI music on Youtube . The most watched results are scare tactics kind of thumbnails. Even from youtubers I used to respect. I guess fear is a good emotion to milk for views

The issue is not AI, is the system where it's being used. For instance, chatgpt is widely used to create shorts and reels almost automatically. Why? to get views and easy money. If the imperative is "produce, produce, produce" content will be heavier than quality. Same for music.

There's a difference between how a synth is considered to be a favorite. There are favs because I use them most, and favs because they are incredible sound machines. Thing is, sometimes I just love to make sounds on a synth but rarely use them on a song. For instance Aparillo.

I love creating synth patches. There's pleasure in making something, pressing a key and just letting it sound. I don't even need to use it on a song. Still, despite that, it is a musical experience nontheless

Inspiration is weird. You can love a band and listen their whole discography and yet never get inspired by them, and suddenly a 2 second part of a random song you listen at the store triggers a whole process of experimentation and song writing
