The best way to get a new client? Referrals. But this was before my personal brand Today it’s a different game. If I would start today, I would do it this way: 1// CREATE A PERSONAL BRAND Most freelancers hang out on Upwork. Big mistake. You will fight for pennies. Solution? A personal brand. You can show your value in a unique way. People will perceive your work  as much more valuable. Now, you can offer your service for a high price. 2// OPTIMISE YOUR ONLINE PRESENCE A personal brand is not enough. You need to convince others that you are the ONE solution. Here’s what you need: • Clear bio • Banner with your vision • Pinned post showing your results High-quality presence = High-quality prospects. 3// CONTENT SYSTEM A personal brand is just your gate. Top of your funnel. You need to make people trust you. This is where good content comes in. Share these: • Stories • Value insights • Client case studies People will never buy if they don’t trust you having the expertise. SUMMARY • Create a personal brand • Optimise your presence • Have a content system Thanks so much for reading! If you found this post valuable, share it. Follow me @Alex_elnaugh

AI search is not about tricking the algorithm. It is about making your business easier to understand. Comment “AI” and I’ll send you a free AI Visibility Report. Most websites are not built for how people search today. Most websites have: → Vague service pages → Thin case studies → Buried proof → Missing FAQs → Weak CTAs → Poor page structure → No clear answers to buyer questions Then businesses wonder why Google, ChatGPT or Perplexity are not recommending them. But here's the problem: You have not given them enough clear information to work with. The fix is not always technical. Sometimes it's simple: → Clearer navigation → Better H1, H2 and H3 structure → Stronger FAQs based on real search terms → Specific service pages instead of one broad page → Clear CTAs people actually understand → Direct answers to the questions buyers are already asking This is the work most businesses have avoided. AI search just makes it harder to ignore. That is why we created the Free AI Visibility Report. We review your website and give you a simple snapshot of: → What is working → What is missing → What to improve first Harsh truth: Your site is probably not showing up as clearly as you think. Comment “AI” and I’ll send you the link.

This is the energy
The industry keeps telling young designers to “learn AI or get left behind.” How about: • learn color theory. • learn typography. • learn how to present your work. • learn to take feedback without dying inside.😁

AI search is moving fast. But most businesses are skipping the first step. Before you worry about rankings, tools or prompts, ask this: Can Google and AI tools clearly understand what your business does? If your website is unclear, your services are hard to find and your proof is buried, you are making it harder to be recommended. We have created a free AI Visibility Report to show businesses where they currently stand. 🔸 Link to your free report in the comments

I’m looking for people who build things who turn ideas into products, content, systems, businesses. Not talkers. Makers. Where are you? Where are you building? Let’s level up the network.

Posting design work online isn’t enough to attract clients. You need to market yourself, share your services, and make it easy for prospects to reach you. Add links to your portfolio or services. Show up where your ideal clients are. No one will back you like you can.

Good freelancers get clients. Great freelancers get business partners.

Modern agencies overcomplicate everything. Discovery stage = endless meetings charged by the hour. Process flow = Over engineered on every detail. Delivery = Broken into parts, fearing they won’t get paid. I stopped working like that. I keep it simple: - Clear scope SOW - Fair price / times for both sides - Straight to delivering the goods Work shouldn’t feel like a maze. It should be simple, clear, and built on trust.
