Does the damage stay contained, or does it spread?
In pooled systems, losses can spread.
In isolated systems, they stop at the boundary.

Why isolated lending markets?
Because not every asset, borrower, or counterparty should share the same risk pool.
That is especially true in institutional credit, where underwriting and risk containment matter more than convenience.
