And on another point, during the last session I’m having in this house, an earthquake hit in Florida! I’ve never felt or heard of an earthquake happening here, although I’m used to them in California. What are the chances, an earthquake hits during my session, days before I’m set to move. My best advice for gay men is to spend less time, energy, and brain space overly focused on the guys, situations, and spaces that are not meant for you, and focus on the circumstances that attract you and welcome you naturally. There’s always so much debate about why one does not get invited to, or feel welcomed within the space of another. It’s simply because that space was not curated for you, or build to cater to you or your likeness, and that is OK. For every space that is not meant for you, I guarantee there are 5 others that have a seat waiting for you with your name on it. This can apply to many things, but I personally think guys spend too much time worried about the spaces they don’t fit in to, rather than focusing on the ones where they do. And this is one thing that helps perpetuate the concept of “male loneliness syndrome” within, and even outside of the gay world. This is something I’ve had to learn over a long period of years, but it’s a conclusion I’ve come to, and am satisfied with, and with this concept, I’ve actually been making more friends and connections than ever, and… with the RIGHT people. Not everything is built for you, But many things are built for you. ☺️
