The Government has today announced a new deal for GPs. This is extremely welcome after the years of difficulty that our communities have had with accessing vital services.
💰GPs will see an extra £889 million next year to support rebuilding general practice.

🚩Cutting through red tape - almost halving the number of targets and measures.
💻Online booking for appointments in all surgeries by October to end the 8am scramble for appointments

I'm particularly happy to see that the @GHHospice who do incredible work serving local people across North Herts and Stevenage and help take a great deal of pressure off of our NHS.

Loneliness has such an incredibly detrimental effect on our health. This is particularly harmful for people with vulnerabilities or who are elderly who are often shut off from their communities.

Joining @GHHospice to hear about their Compassionate Neighbours and Wellbeing Hub services was really enlightening to how positive the benefits of their work is and how much it has helped hundreds of people in North Herts and Stevenage.
