Okay, I don’t want to bury the lede here – Ethos is continuing to hire, hire, hire! And, you should want to work with us because of our amazing Consulting Manager, Karyn Oates, who #realtalk, should be a newscaster? 🤔 Tell me I’m wrong… Apply here: lnkd.in/ebMU-Utw

For #DEIB professionals out there, as you recommend changes to #clients and advocate inclusive policies, remind them that the now ground-breaking @GizmodoMedia worker demands hinged on: 1/2
2/2 1. A living wage 2. 15 weeks of paid parental leave 3. Trans-inclusive healthcare benefits 4. A robust DEIB budget 5. Severance pay bit.ly/3ihDscs
I’m about to start @debbiemillman's book, Why Design Matters, and I am so excited! Any initial thoughts from folks who’ve picked it up?

📖 Exit Right: How to Sell Your Startup, Maximize Your Return and Build Your Legacy by Mark Achler and Mert Hilmi Iseri Learn where deals get into trouble, how to create alignment between negotiating parties, and what terms you should care about most
I loved talking to Maria Mourakian and partnering with Melissa Graetz on the latest Culture Stew podcast. Perhaps my favorite story I've shared in any podcast comes up in 2:55 - 9:20. It's a tribute to my maternal grandmother. Take a listen here: lnkd.in/ebcdZewr.
You might have thought to yourself, after two posts, Alida will be done with sharing her acknowledgments, but that couldn't be farther from the truth! Today's segment is all about my incredible readers.

Tiff Voltz, who has been a friend, cheerleader, and brainstorm partner for years, brought compassion, discernment, and frankly bomb line edits to my manuscript. She also reminded me to bring in humanity and warmth when I got too into the nuts and bolts of the process.

Amanda Paul is perhaps the highest achieving and most self-aware fellow DEIB practitioner I have partnered with, and I owe her for checking my biases. She was diligent in rooting out ableist language and reminding me to present multiple options for people.
I wrote one of my favorite articles that I've done in a while for Writer's Digest on why DEIB is important for writers. Link: lnkd.in/eeCMfv9g

Because of the fact that there would be no Ethos and no Cultures of Belonging without them, I want to call out my first-ever clients at Ethos Talent.
