Cute theory, let's play it out. A monkey hoards a trillion bananas. The troop, enraged, beats him to death. They gather around the pile to feast at last. But... oh wait, there is no pile. It turns out the "bananas" were shares in a banana-launching company the dead monkey founded. The shares were worth a trillion because he was alive to run it. Now he is dead and the stock is worth $0. The retarded monkeys have clubbed their way into a recession. But it gets worse. Half the "bananas" were tied up in a rocket that supplies bananas to monkeys on the far mountain who had no bananas at all. Another chunk was tied up in a little satellite dish that beamed banana coordinates to the troop after a flood took out their trees. So now they realized they beat to death the only monkey who knew how the dish worked. So the monkeys sit there. No bananas. No rockets. No coordinates to get more banananas. Just a dead body and a powerful sense of fairness as they all now became infinitely poorer. OH And somewhere a smaller monkey watches the whole thing and quietly decides he will never build anything in front of these animals again.
in nature if a monkey hoarded 1 trillion bananas the other monkeys would beat that monkey to death and take his bananas

The situation unfolding right now is the perfect example of why the majority of the American people have either outright rejected or are at least requestioning the US-Israeli relationship. Currently, there is an obvious divergence between the US interests and the goals of the Israeli government. We desperately need a deal to end this disastrous war and save the global economy. Trump obviously wants that at this point and has already said Israel was forbidden from attacking Lebanon. (You may recall every pro Israel account on here claiming this as proof that Trump calls the shots). The ceasefire that the President of the United States of America wants depends on Israel not attacking southern Lebanon. So, Israel announces they’re doing it. The best Trump can say is no boots on the ground and he won’t even hold on that. This is a country whose very survival let alone ability to conduct any of these elective wars is completely dependent on US tax payer money, and support. We unconditionally support them even as they undermine our nation. This is beyond intolerable. You can call all of us every name in the book but it’s just too obvious.

You may be wondering why immigrants hate us so much. After all, they were allowed to come to America, and prosper greatly by doing so, and a large portion of the population bent over backwards to welcome them and make them feel at home. If you don't understand realpsych, you would expect them to be grateful. But that's not how people actually work. Human beings are grateful for gifts and favors only up to the point where they feel they can no longer repay them. Once that point is passed, once a person can no longer repay his debts, then he has a choice between two narratives for understanding the rest of his life. "I am a charity recipient, not a self-sustaining human being." "I was entitled to what I took from those people, because they are bad, or weak, or horrible, or something." In other words, if you give someone too much, more than they deserve, more than they can possibly earn, they become ungrateful little swine, precisely in order to preserve their own psychological well being. And they will surround themselves with others who participate with them in that collaborative lie. Sometimes people can make entire careers out of pandering to the over-privileged and under-deserving. Careers like "publicist". Or "immigration lawyer". And they will invent an entire mythos to preserve their self-worth. They will convince themselves that thriving off undeserved gifts makes them the elite of humanity, while those whose inheritance was taken from them are some mental stereotype of drunken "Biff", who partied his way through a second rate IT school. There's just one small problem that they must handwave away or ignore if they can. Biff's great-grandparents build America into the greatest nation on Earth. Biff's grandparents won WW2. Biff's parents invented the internet, and flew astronauts to the moon. Biff's entire tribe was thriving. Otherwise there would have been nothing to give to immigrants, and no reason for them to come here. Meanwhile, all of the places that the immigrants are coming from have existed a lot longer than America, and been filled with the ancestors of those immigrants, and lots of other people who are like them in every way. They had centuries, sometimes millennia, to get their shit together and build something where they were. They didn't. They had to go live in someone else's country, for "opportunities". Of course they have to pretend that they "deserve" those "opportunities" more than the very people whose ancestors created the "opportunities" in the first place. Because otherwise they would have to admit the one thing their self-esteem could never endure.... Leaving their own nations, and their tribes, was an admission of abject failure.

I think the explanation for why they were so good at air bending even though they just got it was that they were already excellent fighters before bending. Sort of like how Zaheer was good almost right away.
Toph in her prime losing to a random airbender who got his bending 10 minutes ago:

#Aangthelastairbender is a poignant commentary on Israel. The villain (Taga) is an Air bender who wants to bring back the air nation, but not just that, he wants to establish an “air empire” that can “protect itself” against the other nations. To do so, he is willing to wipe out everyone in republic city, which he will build his “temple” on. Aang opposes his plans because it is cruel and it goes against the very ideals of air nomad culture. I am surprised more people are not calling out the obvious parallels. Could this be why Paramount has shafted this movie? Because the themes form a critique of modern Israel and their war crimes against the Palestinians and their neighbors in the name of self preservation?

You basically have to watch the new Aang movie now to avoid the entire thing getting spoiled for you. Unfortunately, the genie is fully out of the bottle.

Not surprised tbh "They made Toph straight" "OMG Zuko is gay because he said a a dude looked attractive" Was there any doubt the fandom is now just a bunch of tumblr yuri/yaoi rats? And the worst part, this is all the creators' doing.

Paramount pulled "The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender" from its theatrical release in favor of a streaming debut. The movie's director says it "deserves to be seen on a big screen." “‘Aang’ movie is officially wrapped. We screened the final film for the crew and celebrated the end of a four year journey. Now it waits in limbo until its release in October. I’ve never worked on an ‘Avatar’ project that was easy and this was no different. But it was worth it. I’m so proud of everyone who was a part of this and the amazing thing we built together. The movie is amazing!!! That might not mean much coming from the director. I might have some bias, but I feel the need to put that out there. The recent decision to move us from theatrical to streaming might give the impression that the quality wasn’t sufficient, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. This movie deserves to be seen on a big screen!!! Can’t wait for you all to see it!” variety.com/2026/film/news/a…

Let me explain for the idiots who fell for the propaganda. The lightbulb was invented by Thomas Edisons company. The filament and all. The guy brought out for black history month; where we all play pretend to not exacerbate people's feelings of inferiority; filed a patent on improving the filament manufacturing processes. At the time he was employed by the great Hiram Maxium as an assistant manager and draftsman for the US Electric Lighting Company. So no. He didnt invent the lightbulb, or the filament. He invented a method to reduced breakage during the carbonization process. He even eventually worked for Edison, and had a pretty interesting life, without the need for embellishment en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lewis_… So let's stop making shit up. If we care about history, lets be accurate about it.

The Dark Crystal's plot involves evil Skeksis elites draining life essence from innocents like Gelflings to maintain youth and power. Epstein's scandal revealed real abuse of minors by a financier with elite ties, while Pizzagate is a debunked theory alleging a Democratic child trafficking ring. Parallels some see: corrupt powerful figures exploiting the vulnerable for "eternal youth" (echoing fringe adrenochrome claims). But these are interpretive; the movie is fantasy, not evidence.

Is there a word for a person that loves Jesus and his teachings but doesn’t necessarily believe in the more fundamental aspects of Christianity? Like, I agree with basically everything that Jesus taught about how to be a good person, but I don’t think the Christian idea of what is the afterlife/ heaven is really accurate.
