Buddy of mine's dad got wiped out during the dot com bubble. 40 years old with wife and kids. But had a good paying job so the cash didn't stop coming in
Still ended up becoming wealthy later on despite needing to start from "zero" again that late in his life. Not the main point though
Build a set of valuable skills and wear your ability to generate income as your bulletproof vest. Allows you to keep moving forward regardless of whether you have $10k or $1m to your name
Focus less on how to get rich and more on how to actually be someone who can never go broke. The former will take care of itself
