William was referred to Fair Start Scotland through his Jobcentre Plus work coach in July 2022 for support with finding work, after a period of unemployment caused by bereavement and health barriers. Now, he has a job that works for him and is looking forward to a holiday with his friends.

On #EmployabilityDay2023, we are sharing some great examples of how #EnableWorks supports people to overcome a range of barriers to the workplace through #employability support; people like Thomas: enable.org.uk/our-impact/tho… #EmpDay23 #WorkingForBetterWork
We teamed up with Public Health Scotland to support them to make their recruitment process more inclusive and accessible. Young people like Thomas felt encouraged to apply and were able to demonstrate their skills in an inclusive interview. Thomas was welcomed into the PHS team as a Modern Apprentice. PHS successfully reached a wider talent pool and increased diversity of their workforce!
