Pulling rank as a pediatrician. You can debate me (using science) about kids wearing masks in school, but don’t call it ‘abuse’.
We folk who work with children & families know how tragic actual child abuse can be. It has a very real meaning, and this ain’t it.

This article is beautifully written. At one of my lowest points I reached out to a mentor and told them how much I was struggling. They shrugged and said "well this is your job." There is still a ways to go in our field.
