I'm so mad Finally got some chips in this $1500 razzament and get called by 559 on 5th my board is three unpaired cards 863. I actually had one of his 5s in the hole as well Anyway I'm left with crumbs. The pot was around 40k.

From @pokerorg New criteria allows up to 6 new players to get into the Poker Hall of Fame each year. Under the previous system, living members of the Hall of Fame would cast their vote for one from of a shortlist of players — nominated by the public — who tick the following boxes: Respected by peers High stakes experience Consistent excellence Legacy that lasts Shaped the game Aged 40 or over Those criteria remain, but the major change is that each of the 33 HoF members will be able to cast up to 4 votes. If any of the 8 shortlisted players receives 22 votes, they will be added. That means that — technically, at least — it would be mathematically possible for up to 6 new HoF inductees to join each year. That would require each member to divide their votes perfectly between six candidates, and is so improbable as to be written off. However, there exists a very real chance — if not a likelihood — that more than one new member will be inducted this year.

Not sure what all this means, but he says you should late reg the main .... Should you max late register the @WSOP Main Event? I crunched last year's numbers to find out. Now, this one's a bit trickier because late reg closes halfway through day two, but I only have data at day's end. At the start of day two, 77% of the field remained, so starting stacks only appreciated by $200. Barely a blip. At the start of day three, however, only 35% of the field remained, and a starting stack appreciates by over $1000. So if all you do is show up late on day two, and hold onto your chips, you will freeroll the rake, and then some. We also need to factor in that late reg advantage is paid for by earlier entrants. Those who showed up on day one are paying EV to the day two players. My rough estimate is that a max late reg stack is worth approximately 8% more than entering on day one. Not a bad deal for skipping 15 hours of play!

Almost broke my 100% @WSOP playing policy today to play a fun $600 Razz event with great structure @OrleansPokerRo1, but I'm sticking to the plan and playing the WSOP $1500 multi flight PLO event. Already chipped up to 40K!
