The 7th graders visited the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory’s DNA Learning Center to collect samples of their own mitochondrial DNA and to use PCR to amplify a section of their own mitochondrial DNA and agarose gel electrophoresis to confirm the result. #AllenStevensonScience
