๐จALERT๐จToday, identity verification protocol @Humanityprot was exploited for approximately $30 million.
The root cause appears to be a compromised private key, which allowed the attacker to gain admin privileges. As a result, multiple protocol controlled wallets were drained across the #Ethereum and #BNB Chain networks.
Following a contract upgrade, the attacker abused the mint function to mint 100 million $H tokens at

The attacker then swapped the $H tokens for $BNB and $ETH, before consolidating the stolen funds across several wallets.

msg.sender.code.length == 0 is dead post-EIP-7702.
An EOA can delegate to a contract for the duration of a tx - so it has code while still being controlled by a private key.
Every contract still using codesize as an EOA check is now a bypass.

Hut 8 announced that its subsidiary Beacon Point DC LLC has priced $4.25 billion of senior secured notes due 2042 with a 6.129% coupon. Proceeds will fund the Beacon Point AI data center project in Texas, which is planned to provide 352 MW of IT capacity. The company said the financing is non-recourse to Hut 8 and structured at the project level.
