FICCI, in partnership with the Indian Cancer Society (ICS), hosted the National Roundtable on ‘Next-Gen Cancer Care: Reimagining Lung & Breast Cancer Treatment in India’ at Federation House, New Delhi.
The consultation-driven discussion served as a platform to capture key perspectives, gaps, and solution pathways across the cancer care continuum — from treatment advancements and awareness building to insurance, policy, and access reforms.
The agenda focused on emerging treatment innovations, including immunotherapies & subcutaneous delivery, Strengthening awareness among clinicians, payors, policymakers & patients
Ensuring safety, quality care & standard of treatment delivery, Bridging insurance and coverage gaps for modern therapies, Exploring scalable funding models and inclusive insurance frameworks and Identifying next steps for policy advocacy & consensus building.
The roundtable was attended by Dr L Swasticharan, Additional DDG – Health Services & Director (Emergency Medical Relief), DGHS, MoHFW, and Dr Pankaj Arora, Director, NHA, who shared their valuable insights.
(Hony) Brig Dr Arvind Lal, Chair-FICCI Swasth Bharat (Public Health) Task Force; Executive Chairman, Dr Lal PathLabs Ltd. and Managing Trustee, ALVL Foundation, also shared his perspectives during the roundtable.
