Proudly posting /sharing this message by @lindaa728 on a recent publication from her doctoral studies @canchild_ca. A great example of doing meaningful research in partnership with #siblings of youth with #disabilities. 👇👇
📣 Excited to share the main results of the BEST SIBS Study. Siblings (youth and young adults) identified the roles that they have with their sibling with a #neurodisability & they require supports to prepare for their future roles (e.g. caregiver). onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/…

This policy distracts from the very real marking backlog that @carleton_u has created. All assignments still have to be marked.

Bill 28 is an attack on all workers. OPSEU/SEFPO education workers will be walking off the job on Friday in solidarity with CUPE colleagues, and their union will have their back. bit.ly/3zFtwTo #39KisNotEnough #EducationMatters #onted #onpoli #onlab

This
Minister of Education keeps saying that CUPE forced him to introduce Bill 28, his "back to work legislation." This is a lie. He's not ending a strike. There is no strike and Bill 28 is not back to work legislation. He's ending charter rights & collective bargaining. #onpoli

We need to do better
So let me get this straight. People with Disabilities who are suffering due to lack of income supports are able to access Medical Assistance in Dying for relief of suffering…but can’t access income supports in the first place? This. Is. Horrific.

🚨I wrote about healthcare workers with long-COVID, & how their experience changed their view of medicine. HCWs & long-haulers are often framed in opposition, but here's the story of people who sit across both worlds. 1/ theatlantic.com/health/archi…
