New Zealand's media landscape is poorer for this decision.
The people at Newshub do brilliant work each night, which was a key motivator to working hard across the aisle at TVNZ.
Competition is important and makes for better journalism all round.

Many people diminish the role of communication in leadership as fluffy, vapid, and a facade to hide shortcomings. Nothing proves that to be a bullshit view than this press conference. We need effective communicators in these roles.

A talented journalist, Grant was an advocate for the LGBTQ community & a prominent voice for women's soccer.
He used his platform to elevate those whose stories needed telling.

It takes mammoth courage for an Iranian woman to do this in public.
The Iranian regime is deeply homophobic and severely punishes any calls for equal rights for minorities, including LGBTQ rights. It routinely kills and jails gay Iranians.
