All maths is advanced maths. From the perspective of your student, the maths they are learning now is the most advanced maths they have ever learned. Give them the credit they deserve.

It seems like everything is getting cancelled, but do you know what doesn't cancel? The a's in a/(a b).

Looks like a fungus, acts like an animal. 720 sexes, digests food with no mouth, moves with no legs, communicates and problem solved with no brain. I sense an excellent PBL for Biology. theguardian.com/world/2019/o…

I would have liked to really unpack the idea of "overusing strengths" - it was mentioned and we discussed what it might be but no real follow up to this.
Who do we unleash the "dark" side on if we are frustrated? Family, teams, close coworkers?
Identity is your personal story that you tell yourself (and is usually wrong/incomplete), while reputation is the story others tell about you (and this does matter in the workplace - people need to choose to follow you).

People have a "fair" personality while they're in control and curating their image, and a "dark" personality shown when they're not in control or in very familiar situations. Your team will say different things about you than a parent.
