Is it appropriate for a athletic coordinator to use district resources, district laptop, district email, and district time to send an email to his entire boys coaching staff, to promote and endorse a candidate for PTA president? Would this fall under school electioneering? Would this fall under using your place of power to intimidate someone do what you want them to or else? Is it appropriate for a athletic coordinator to ask same said coaching staff to ask their wives to join PTA to vote in favor of a certain candidate, because that candidate is in favor of “athletics”? Would this fall under Quid Pro Quo? Is it coincidence that certain individuals joined the day before, the day of, and the day after the email was sent? Is this ethical considering the current PTA president, who has been active in the PTA for three years, filed a grievance on said coordinator for inappropriate conduct and denying a student with an IEP proper accommodations, and was put on 3 week admin leave? Would this fall under Title 9, retaliation? Would this violate Board Local Board Policy DH Exhibit 1.4? Would this be in violation of at least 2 Texas Education Code of Ethics Standards? Is it possible that a corrupt, “fired”, but elected board member, personally paid for and signed up individuals to join the day of the PTA elections, so that they could vote for the candidate, the one the Athletic Coordinator/Coach (whom she put in place) used his district email and time, to endorse for president? Is it possible the board member used her campaign funds to pay for the “day of” memberships? Will her upcoming finance report reflect that transaction? Was the current PTA president at the time of the vote the individual that ran against the “fired” board member last spring for her seat? Is it possible that a school board member could not stay in their lane, and pushed a candidate for Athletic Coordinator ahead of the Interim Athletic Coordinator, and ahead of even two highly qualified alumni of North Side High School? Is it possible that once their self-chosen candidate took his role, he released those very people who had been there pouring into our youth, just because they applied for the same role? Is it possible that once he was placed in that role, in March of 2025, in the middle of that certain board members re-election campaign, began “coming after” the board member’s opponents son? Is it possible he began putting her opponents son down, stripped her son of an armband, that was a much needed accommodation, that was part of his success, so that he would not be successful in that role? Is it possible that he got other student athletes to begin putting that student down until they stepped down? Is it possible that now that her student athlete went out to be successful in baseketball and baseball, that the Athletic Coordinator has now began coming after the opponent of the board member’s role in the PTA? Is it possible that he Is doing that for retaliation since she was board member’s opponent, because she filed a grievance on him for calling students “retarded”, denying accommodations, etc? Is it possible he is also doing this solely to have the entire focus on the football program? Will our North Side community be highly disappointed if our once 100 member football program, with a freshman , JV , and Varsity team, will only consist of 18-20 boys this fall, to make only one team?
