I grew up before the Militarization of Police. Immigrants were rarely seen. Native Americans were people born in America, and the Indians were the people cowboys fought. We could leave the doors to our homes and cars unlocked. America was a beautiful place.

Contrary to popular internet myths, Thomas Jefferson never openly stated that he was a deist. We do know for a fact however, that he was raised in the Church of England located in Virginia. We know he financially supported the Anglican Church and attended regularly.
