However, once the court, rightly or wrongly, found that the petitioner was not granted a fair hearing, the most natural outcome would have been to annul the impeachment and award him damages instead of reinstatement. In the end, the judgment was contradictory.

As we mourn with the Utumishi Girls community and the affected families, we must collectively resolve that never again should such a tragedy occur.

🇸🇳 Tensions already rising in Senegal after President Bassirou Diomaye Faye sacks his longtime ally and Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko. Students at Cheikh Anta Diop University are chanting President Diomaye’s name in support following the limogeage of Sonko.

Kenya Kwanza government can blame imaginary forces all it wants but it's its greatest enemy. Tone-deaf to the concerns of the common man.
Hassan Omar: Mliita Moi 'passing cloud'. Ruto akichukua mnaanza kusema wantam. Kama vile Moi was not a 'passing cloud' neither is Ruto going to be there for one term. He will serve his two terms.

Sifuna is energetic and charismatic. However, he would still need to do more to turn the energy into a loyal support base.
