On 8 Feb, 20 students & 3 teachers braved the cold to raise awareness & funds for the #homeless. They slept on concrete floors, raising £1,929 so far. Despite the discomfort, the night brought them closer & deepened their understanding. Donate here: buff.ly/3Qu4qio

For our last few days in #Greece, the sun shone bright as our students visited the #theatreofEpidaurus, famed for its #acoustics. They also reconstructed the healing rituals of #Asclepios & explored Agamemnon's palace in Mycenae. What an amazing trip it's been!

Our #Classics students have been living the dream, immersing themselves in the rich history of #AncientGreece. After a few fascinating days in #Athens, they've been on the move, visiting the famous #OracleofApollo at #Delphi, & running/winning a race against a French school.

A group of our international students enjoyed an end of term cultural trip to Whitby, where they visited Whitby Abbey, took a paddle in the sea, and sampled some traditional British seaside treats including rock, candy floss and of course, fish and chips! #CompassforLife

A great time was had at the CCF summer camp in Strensall last week! Our students went on exercise for two days, conducting military skills and competitions around Queen Elizabeth barracks, plus enjoyed a fun visit to the Yorkshire Waterpark. #CompassforLife

Year 9 students have been learning about ‘Space & Place’, a contemporary geography topic often reserved for university study. They spent the day learning about how some of our teachers and monks are connected to the Ampleforth valley, using QR codes to learn more from the videos.
