A6 - I love the idea (Q5 resource) of reflecting on who am I talking to/not talking? What do I know about my students? And then being intentional in connecting with students based on this reflection. Process-based, not just a one time action. #NoVAedchat

A3 If we ask kids what is working/helping their learning, we can do more of that. And, if we ask what is not working, we can do less of that. If we ask kids about their lives, we can know them better and tailor experiences to their interests/strengths/needs. #NoVAedchat

A2: Be curious about my students & embed opportunities for Ss to get to know one another, me, and share about themselves in a safe environment. Also, multiple ways to communicate; not everyone is comfortable F2F. When we know one another better = success. #NoVAedchat

This is my 37th first day of school between my years as a student, teacher, and mom. Some 1st day’s are more memorable than others...heart strings are feeling tender today as we welcome kids and I send my own off. Wishing all a joyful and safe day. #firstdayfairfax
