The dragon-headed caterpillar is the larval stage of the Polyura athamas, commonly known as the Common Nawab butterfly, it belongs to the brush-footed butterfly family (Nymphalidae).
Found primarily in South and Southeast Asia, in its adult butterfly stage, it showcases brown wings with cream-white spots and stripes, with a diet typically consisting of nectar from various flowers.
