Unbelievably, none of my “pondering through the beams” made it into this weeks Homes Under the Hammer final broadcast despite some breathtaking footage being created at the time. In fact no pondering at all. Just opinion on values. Sad times 😔 #whynopondering

This time yesterday I pulled off my first ever collaborative #ponder.

A cheeky little conservatory #ponder last week in #basildon. We tried a ceiling tap but the producer didn’t like it. So just an old fashioned, classic “look around then walk out of shot”. It’s nice to go back to basics sometimes. #homesunderthehammer #pondering

Great fun at the @phoenixpropertymeet.co.uk annual fundraiser this week. Live charity auction rooms allow me to ad lib and bully/gently encourage the audience way more than a regular property auction! The booze helps too (both me and the bidders!) #charity #auctioneer

JK’s Fanbite of Chelsea’s humiliating thumping by the Toffees of Everton. Can’t deal with being bullied can’t score any more. It’s a backwards & sideways w*nkfest. Have the wheels fallen off? Is Rosenior Potter in disguise? @Jonathankydd @chelseafanbite #chelseafc @chelseafc

Today’s #pondering in Kensington saw an improvised “test the tap works” move. Unplanned but I felt it added to the moment. #auctioneer #homesunderthehammer

This week’s episode of #homesunderthehammer featured a lovely “is it a garage, is it a lean-to, no one really knows” ponder. You have to watch to the very last scene but hopefully all the #pondering appreciators amongst you will feel it’s a journey worth going on.

So yesterday in #Romford, I tried out my new “check the fridge is working” #ponder. It was spontaneous but I think executed with the right level of professionalism? #homesunderthehammer #pondering #auctioneer

My first #ponder of 2026. And I wanted to start with a bang. I chucked in a “cupboard door test” as well as one of the smoothest “umbrella-closage” manoeuvres you’re likely to see this year. #homesunderthehammer #pondering #2026

As an auctioneer, December is always a crazily busy month with both property and charity auctions but this was the first time I had to conduct 4 auctions in 30 hours. Three property auctions and a fundraiser over two consecutive days was a new record for me! #auctioneer #records

Explaining on ITV News why this derelict house is so good. Even at ÂŁ1m! #auction #gold @AuctionHouseLDN

2 parties (one a total surprise), an epic champions league night, a surprise dinner in the dark, a weekend at The Grove, a 4 day boys trip in Madrid and lots of other fun events. It’s been a monumental 2 week celebration for turning 50. I think I can safely say I’ve milked it!

How does he constantly innovate his pondering? Allow me to indulge you with a little behind the scenes snippet showing John the Cameraman inventing the “doorway ponder”. Pondering really is a team effort. None of it happens by pure magic, people.

Some unbelievable creativity today from producer Di who spotted a mirror and insisted it couldn’t go to waste. Bringing props into a #pondering sequence is why she’s at the top of her game. Let’s hope they leave this in the final broadcast. #HomesUnderTheHammer #ponderingskills

So this week’s Homes Under the Hammer was a real showcase in just how much the BBC editors are starting to value my #exterior #pondering. They left in not one but TWO separate garden ponders. As well as some front-of-house and in-bedroom contemplative-mastery.

Delighted that yesterday’s #pondering on #homesunderthehammer managed to spoil holidays, gym work outs and even got me some “grandma appreciation”. My work here is done. #auctioneer #ponderingskills

Sporting vibes at the end of last week. Boxing on Thursday at #rumblewiththeagents which included me jumping into the ring …to conduct the auction and raise money for Centrepoint …. followed by Ascot on Friday. #Ascot really is a great day out, I have to say. #auctioneer

#Charity #auctions are even more fun when you recognise the people bidding. As happened at the @Norwood Property Lunch on Friday. You nearly won it @daniel_daggers! Lunch with @Nigel_Farage (the final auction prize) will be very memorable, I’m sure! He’s a great speaker
