We cannot return career politicians to Ward 3 or the Mayor’s office who value reelection over transparency. It’s our money, yet they hide how it’s spent. This lack of accountability should be automatically disqualifying for those seeking re-election #HamOnt

Great conversations at the door today! Spoke with city workers, youth, and 60-year residents all sharing the same vision for change in Ward 3. Let's work together, and this October, let’s make our voices heard. #HamOnt

Last night, I attended the community meeting regarding the planned CMHA facility, which is designed to house individuals who have had contact with the criminal justice system. Neighbours brought forward serious, valid questions about the project but walked away with few answers. What was most disappointing was hearing our current Councillor, Cllr' Nann, state she "didn't know anything about this project." This isn't a sudden proposal; this project and planning documents detailing this site's intended use have been active for years. Showing up, reading the paperwork, and tracking what is happening in Ward 3 is a core requirement of the job. If elected as your Ward 3 City Councillor, I won't be caught off guard by neighborhood-altering proposals and neither will you. Proactive leadership means catching these things before they become a done deal, not reacting after the fact. #HamOnt

Every day I see the affordability crisis playing out in Ward 3. After years of municipal drift, it's time for a fresh approach. An approach that values your tax dollars. An approach that takes the necessary steps to tackle our runaway budget. Let's change #HamOnt

LRT construction is coming, and after a tough few years, our local shops need action, support, and a real plan. If elected as your Ward 3 Councillor, I wouldn't wait around for the bureaucracy to catch up. I will leverage the city's existing Commercial District Revitalization Grants and cut the red tape to get that money working for our local shops. I'd help our businesses armor up. I'll champion heavy-duty windows to block the jackhammers, sealed entryways to stop the dust, and lighting upgrades so everyone knows you’re open. No more short-term band-aids. Let's build permanent, structural upgrades to protect our mom-and-pop shops and keep Ward 3 open for business in #HamOnt

Had a fantastic time cleaning up the Memorial School gardens this morning! Huge shoutout to community leaders like my neighbour Liz for stepping up and showing us how it's done. I haven’t moved that much mulch in years! #HamOnt

Process in action: A cold patch is a reactive, temporary fix designed to look good on a campaign flyer. A hot patch is a permanent, structural repair built to last. We can’t keep relying on seasonal photo ops to manage our infrastructure. Real solutions mean moving from reactive damage control to proactive management. Let’s fix the process #HamOnt

While looking toward the future, today I take a moment to celebrate the past. This morning, I am honoring my relative, George Leslie Mackay, on his commemorative day. George contributed significantly to the nation-building of both Canada and Taiwan. He left a lasting legacy in Canada and an especially profound influence in Taiwan, where the many schools, hospitals, and churches he founded helped shape the past and the future. A life well lived.

The fact that #HamOnt City Hall has failed to produce audited financial statements for 2023 and 2024 is a five-alarm fire for voters. Worse yet, they have now deliberately chosen to withhold the 2025 statements until after the election, delaying basic transparency until at least 2027. We simply cannot re-elect politicians who refuse to provide a basic accounting of how they are spending our hard-earned money. I ask you to share this with your friends and neighbours. Far too many residents remain completely unaware of this massive failure in local governance.

City Hall decided to withhold our legally required audited financial statements until after the election (at least 2027) #HamOnt I delegated just a few weeks ago to ask for basic transparency so voters could make an informed choice. City Hall decided against transparency.

Everyone involved in planning in #HamOnt knew Arvin was running a side business. This is fundamentally an issue of broken processes. City Hall's outdated and insufficient oversight mechanisms are directly costing taxpayers money. A conflict of interest like this never should have happened.
