A Wild Call is doing an extra week at the Gilded Balloon at 7 40 pm. 'Alchemically wonderful storytelling...It holds his audience in a wordspell where emotions are allowed to be very pure, very honest. And that feels joyful. ' **** The Scotsman tickets.gildedballoon.co.uk/…

Somehow the whimsical choice to stay in a tent made the 6 pm news on Scottish TV. (I'm not really making the tent look too hard though, am I? There is a downside to it though, which I'll admit to in a moment...)

Were the 'great religions' made by men seeking a heavenly father? Wild Call asks what happens if we worship the earth goddess supplanted by the 'great faiths'. It's summoning mothers, like Pamela, enthusing about the gentler 'being' we become if we try the old wild ways.

Scotsman: 'No one tells a story like Andrew Clover. Something happens in this extraordinary hour. It holds its audience in a wordspell which takes us to an almost childlike place where emotions are allowed to be very pure, very honest. And that feels joyful.' ****

Returning to the tent late, I found I have a flatmate. OK, not actually 3 Canada Geese - as in this etching from amazing Jaco Putker -artfinder.com/product/interi… - but a fox. He's been stealing my food - the good stuff, the bread, but just nibbling at the courgette.

Apparently I am Scottish TV at 6 pm in front of my tent, revealing the best place to stay in Edinburgh (and how it connects to why you'd sail the Atlantic) Can someone - I don't know - film a bit of it on their phone, and copy? I can't see how to see it otherwise....

My home for the Fringe. Yesterday I was interviewed for Scottish Television, at the tent, pitching the show. Then another TV interview... (Wasn't intended, but thanks!) OK first show is at 13 40 at the Gilded. At 1340, wish me calm, and an electrifying manner! xxx

Jolly exciting… On the train, they’re holding a special contest. If we see something that doesn’t look right, we text 61016. I THINK I'm going for… 1)This man’s sandals.

Like leaping from a bowsprite mid-Atlantic, and being caught by purple deep - preparing A Wild Call has involved leaping and being caught by a sequence of people giving help and notes. The most common was, 'Calm it down, Andrew.' Gilded Balloon, 1340 31 July to 11th August.

Hello friends. When I was in Colombia I was particularly enchanted by this birdsong. Can anyone recognise it, or say what the bird seems to be saying? X

Proud of my daughters Grace and Cat, cos they’re on the cover of Vogue (Poland), and cos Grace has just organised an event inviting German politicians to think of future generations, and cos Cat has just arranged accommodation for a 6 week exploration of Berlin. (Well done!) xxx

For Noise Awareness Week I am requesting you report to the authorities (me) anything that does look right. I’ve just seen droplets clinging to these buttercups, and enjoyed the Ally Pally robin community, in good song

Noise Awareness Week - and I'm back from a peaceful Atlantic Crossing, to a world of 'See it, say it, sorted!’ Do you think people might start shooting bullets at the station speakers, and shouting, ‘I’ve seen it! I’ve said it! I’ve sorted it!’ andrewclover.substack.com
