The record was originally set By Wayne Madsen and Leus du Plooy who also scored 32 runs - off Duanne Olivier against Yorkshire at Leeds in 2019.

Explosive opening batter Aneurin Donald has been named Derbyshire Falcons captain for this summer’s T20 Blast campaign, taking over from Samit Patel.
The 29-year-old scored 449 runs at a strike rate of 216.9 in 2025, and equalled the record for the fastest Blast half-century, reaching 50 from just 13 balls against Yorkshire at Chesterfield.
