Canberra is facing some unseasonable #weather this week with expected tops of 32° on Monday, 31° on Tuesday and 32° on Wednesday. It’s been 6 years since #Canberra had an October max of 30° or more and 19 years since there were 3 consecutive maxs in #CBR of 30° or more. @BOM_ACT

Canberrans woke Friday morning to #Canberra’s coldest June morning for 39 years. @BOM_ACT reports the minimum at 5.50am was -7.2°. You have to go back to June 29 1986 to find a colder June morning at -7.7°. And Canberra coldest June morning was -8.5° on June 8 1957 #weather

Canberra’s sub-zero minimum Sunday morning was the city’s earliest sub-zero start to a year for 30 years. The minimum was officially -0.1° at 6.09am. You have to go back to 1995 to find an earlier sub-zero minimum.
