Our friends that come to work seasonally on H-2B visas just arrived three days ago. Some of these guys have been coming to The Prairie Club for 13 years and it’s always great to see them again. The visas are never guaranteed, so getting them late is better than never at all.

It was great to get back on campus and participate in the stakeholder panel at the UNL Agronomy and Horticulture IMPACT 2026 conference this week. While there are many challenges, the purpose of land grant universities and the need for agricultural education is still strong.

With a dry fall and start to winter, we have entered a critical time in our season. Our normal winter watering practices are occurring with handwatering and use of Bauer winches. We have also included a selective charge on our system that we will blow out later this week.
