I’ve never heard a caller completely destroy an @LBC presenter so eloquently before. The caller Mortin just made the usually sensible @AliMirajUK look a little bit silly imo. The marches have absolutely NOTHING to do with Jews.
If you think it’s insensitive to march today, then it’s also insensitive to go to the football. I agree with Mortin, and neither are insensitive. If you can’t protest against a genocide, what can you?!
If anyone knows anything about the trains starting to move again from Waterloo tonight, please let me know. Sitting in a pub waiting for information on when they might start moving again! But v little information from @LondonWaterloo@TfL#swtrains
3rd umpire and commentators need to understand sound waves when looking at ultra edge. The audio clearly shows soft wave (pad), followed by sharp spike (bat). Def pad first. Probs still not out, as looked like hit him outside line, but still... #Ashes2023@SkySports
@NickFerrariLBC has made my blood boil this morning. His smug school-bully-like attitude towards his callers, is utterly disgusting! I'm no climate change protestor, but denial of it's existence is just embarrassing.
Pt 2. Your callers' points are v simple; if you and other media outlets reported on climate change as you should, and gave it the attention it deserves, protestors wouldn't need to stop the sporting events, to do it for you. It's literally YOUR FAULT @NickFerrariLBC
I'm on a cruise ship somewhere between St Croix & The Bahamas. WiFi not good enough to stream #ENGvsIND live tonight. Does anyone know how I can watch the full match tomorrow after the event, not in England (ie. Sky go won't work outside england). Any help much appreciated!
I've now spent an hour trying to get hold of someone at @Avid@AvidProTools to no avail. It appears the only way I can get someone on the phone is to BUY a £49.95 telephone support code, so that avid will give me advice on their product which has stopped working? What a joke.
I've just heard that @paramore have been added to the writing credits of @Olivia_Rodrigo 's Good For You. If this is copyright infringement, we should all give up writing music now. The vibe has clearly been inspired, but i'd guess 90% of all songs are inspired in this way.
In most writing sessions I have, at some point one of the writers says "oo I think that melody is a little bit too close to blah blah blah", and it turns out it's a song noone else has heard before. We then spend ages trying to better the melody whilst keeping it "original"...
... And now, despite all that effort to move away from a song no-one's heard before, it turns out you can be sued because "the vibe" is similar to something else. Ie. If you used distorted guitars and shouty vocals, then you've gone too far!! wtf. I feel for you @TheDanielNigro
I've never been to New Zealand, but I certainly approve of their image on the public stage. Their cricketers, their rugby players, and their leaders, all seem like people I'd v much like to hang out with. youtube.com/watch?v=D20Agteh…
Just watched the sky #BLM piece for #ENGvWI. Really powerful, & I thought Michael Holding's words were absolutely spot on. Perfectly explained. Best I've heard yet. Well done @SkyCricket. #BlackLivesMatter
Just seen the video of Jacob Frey being boo'd for refusing to support the abolition of the police. I don't know much about the guy, but this seems a little much. Can the abolition of the police be a good thing? Are there any real world examples of a happy society without police?
