Last night, Putin’s missiles brutally attacked Kyiv. Russian drones tore through the roof at one of the holiest sites in Orthodox Christianity: the Cathedral of the Dormition. For nearly 1,000 years, this Pechersk Lavra monastery has stood through wars, invasions, and empires. Last night, its roof burned as flames lit the night sky. Then something remarkable happened. The heavens opened. Rain poured down, helping firefighters battle the blaze and protect this sacred place. Today, the work continues to save a monastery that has endured for almost a millennium. Kyiv stands. Ukraine stands. And the Cathedral of the Dormition of the Mother of God stands today.

“A premium for bravery” Quoted today in @KyivIndependent "Companies investing today understand that there is a premium for bravery — those willing to invest now are positioning themselves to benefit from one of the most significant growth and reconstruction stories of the coming decade," Andy Hunder, president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine told the Kyiv Independent.
News of former Google CEO Eric Schmidt's reported investment in seven real estate assets in Kyiv has been welcomed in Ukraine as a rare example of foreign investment during wartime and an encouraging sign to other investors. kyivindependent.com/great-ne…

Longer than World War One. Russia’s full scale war in Ukraine now lasting longer than WWI. This week marks four years, three months, two weeks and two days of the war. Ukrainians have been fighting and defending their motherland, with 1.3million Russian soldiers killed and wounded so far. 1586 days of Ukrainian resilience, innovation and spirit. A battle of good vs evil. God bless all Ukraine’s defenders

How will we get Russia to pay compensation for the damage and devastation it has brought with Putin’s full scale war in Ukraine? With over 1000 lawyers on the American Chamber of Commerce @ChamberUkraine legal committee we were delighted to host Iryna Mudra Deputy Head of the President’s office at AmCham to discuss international compensation mechanisms. Our discussions also included rule of law, ensuring real and effective judicial reform, fair justice, and transparent selection of judges at all levels. Grateful to Iryna and her team for the ongoing important dialogue. A lot of meticulous work ahead.

How will Russia pay compensation for the immense damage and destruction it has caused during its full-scale invasion of Ukraine? That was the focus of our discussion this morning at the office of the American Chamber of Commerce in Kyiv @ChamberUkraine Experts and business leaders came together to examine the mechanisms that could help ensure accountability and support Ukraine's recovery through compensation for the losses inflicted by the war. Even as these critical conversations continue, the work goes on. Our office remains active, bringing together the business community, fostering dialogue, and supporting Ukraine's economic resilience. Kyiv stands. Ukraine stands. And the business community stands united with Ukraine.

Standing in Lukianivka today, at the site of Sunday’s horrific missile strike. And right here — McDonald’s has fully reopened and serving customers again. A powerful sign of resilience in Ukraine. I’m lovin it

Another brutal night in Kyiv with ballistic missiles causing destruction and devastation. Putin is hitting civilian infrastructure as his army has lost over 1 million Russian soldiers killed or injured on the frontlines. Putin’s war crimes must be stopped

The New York Times front page article today: Russia Keeps Attacking U.S. Firms in Ukraine. The White House Is Silent. The article includes quotes from me. “Andy Hunder, the head of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, called on Mr. Trump “to stand with American business in Ukraine” and “show Putin that the United States protects its own.” Full article below

A really horrible night in Kyiv. 600 drones and 50 missiles fired by Russia hitting civilian infrastructure across Ukraine. Dozens injured, with civilian deaths. One of the loudest nights in Kyiv that I can remember during this fifth year of Russia’s full scale invasion. Russia must be stopped
