Last night, Putin’s missiles brutally attacked Kyiv. Russian drones tore through the roof at one of the holiest sites in Orthodox Christianity: the Cathedral of the Dormition.
For nearly 1,000 years, this Pechersk Lavra monastery has stood through wars, invasions, and empires. Last night, its roof burned as flames lit the night sky.
Then something remarkable happened.
The heavens opened. Rain poured down, helping firefighters battle the blaze and protect this sacred place.
Today, the work continues to save a monastery that has endured for almost a millennium.
Kyiv stands.
Ukraine stands.
And the Cathedral of the Dormition of the Mother of God stands today.
