We are working with our partners to bring this incident to a safe conclusion. Please avoid the area while we deal with the fire.
We are aware of an incident currently taking place at WCH. There is a fire in the portakabins adjacent to the development site. The fire service are in attendance.
The fire is away from the main hospital buildings and there is no risk to patients.

Emergency services are at the scene of a freight train derailment in Carlisle.
No passengers were on the train and there are not believed to be any injuries.
It happened in the area of the Petteril Bridge junction, off London Road.
People are asked to stay away from this area.
