So the UK Government ban social media.
It will be interesting to see how they do this.
I’m not for or against the ban I’m more interested in how they’ll manage to pull it off.

Let’s get real. VR is moving away from a console like device. Games are not the focus for most headset makers apart from valve.
The everything device is not about gaming.
Will it be successful, who knows. It won’t be cheap for sure.

If all you use VR for is gaming you’re going to find that these next few years are going to be difficult, unless steam launch some games.
The everything device that companies are pushing are currently only for the select few.
Prices (even meta) are going to be high too

The next wave of headsets are not going to be priced to compete with Quest 3/3S. Infact well I don’t think we’ll see another headset that’s priced like the Quest.

Meta Phoenix 2500 (if it happens)

Meta claimed to still support third party. But! They never said if the funding was going up, staying the same or going down just that they where still supporting third party.

My son is doing a brand new course where there’s no real online learning. Instead of using Ai to give him the answers. We fed it all the resources we had and asked it to create a learning portal. It created set of timed exam questions that once completed, gives feedback. Insane

Been using a few Ai video generators lately to see how good they are. It’s safe to say. They’re crap

VR will be for the extreme enthusiasts with this next wave of headset.
Steam frame will look like a bargain at $999.
Road shows and VR creators will be the only way a lot will experience it.
Good and bad but it’s also going to mean slower next gen’s too.

I’ve been in the web industry for over 15 years professionally and I can confirm Ai is taking all the jobs.
I believe I’ve got 6 -12 months left in my current job that I assumed was safe until retirement.

Possibly the only things that will survive is the design side, it still needs a human touch. But devs are as the kids say cooked.

Most things that would take a team of 10 now take a team of 1. Jobs just aren’t going to be available. I’m not against Ai. I use it daily. But understand jobs just arent going to be there is scary.
