Over the week we’ve seen further violent disorder play out across the country.
The NHS in Coventry and Warwickshire stands together in condemning this racist violence. It is completely unacceptable. Coventry and Warwickshire is a proudly diverse health and care system with staff from all over the world working together to support local people and communities and we stand with them in full support.
We also want to reiterate that we have absolutely zero tolerance to any abuse of our staff. Whether in a GP practice, hospital, dental practice, pharmacy, working in care homes or the community it is unacceptable for staff to feel unsafe, be threatened or receive abuse. We will take action against anyone abusing our staff, including police involvement and potentially refusing treatment.
The NHS stands united on this – there is no excuse for abuse.
