I’ve signed up and I’m doing it again this year in October. I’m sure to be in some pain after overseas trip will leave me underdone in the lead up. All the same, all fundraising for the fabulous cause of Run DIPG.

When the surgeon adds another case. And you joke about canceling next if they haven’t stopped their DOAC. Only to hear they are canceled because of trauma and open wound of operative leg …swings and roundabouts
Just modified my esp block technique for case today, thanks @jeffgadsden for the recent YouTube - gave me more confidence to revisit after some limited success previously
JUST IN: President Trump formally classifies fentanyl as a weapon of mass destruction.
"With this historic executive order I will sign today, we're formally classifying fentanyl as a weapon of mass destruction, which is what it is."
"No bomb does what this is doing."
Annual hill time trial with handicap - Sugarpuff- up the steepest thing here mt sugarloaf. For health professionals. Great turn out yesterday - and a pro photographer too - plus despite early week illness - new FTP
I did it again - this time just over a year from the Achilles rupture and surgery. Bowral Classic was 👌. Plus did it faster than 2023, despite more climbing. I was just happy to finish. It’s been a journey
Gravel riding is really a great tonic. Biggest training load this week since- well maybe ever - but definitely since my Achilles. Exploring and chatting- adventure is a fab shared experience
When things come together with a very experienced surgeon. At the pub at 4pm- and confides that it was a top 3 list ever. Chuffed. It was indeed a big whole team effort
Cautionary tale: had a 74yr old present for foot surgery. Saw him in the bay. Looked terrible. Apparently had seen respiratory specialist and cardiac/ and he was ok to proceed. I listened to his chest as he was audibly wheezy. Did cardiac exam. Looked like cardiac failure 1/2
Was on xarelto so spinal not an option. No real respiratory history - so thought likely cardiac wheeze. Asked he be reassessed as clearly had major organ dysfunction and cease his xarelto next time if we proceed . Turns out now he’s booked for a CABG.
