The Trump administration has placed Anthropic's Mythos 5 and Fable 5 under export controls. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick sent a letter to Dario Amodei tonight stating that foreign governments, companies, and individuals will no longer have access to either model.

The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.
The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.
Access to all other Claude models is not affected.
We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.

"A wooden house" by Claude Fable 5 (max)
Max reasoning effort is impressive, this is using my safe system prompt that removes creativity but makes buildings more functional and it's impressive
I'll keep testing it with other past system prompts, but so far so good

With all these Fable 5 games I think it's pretty clear the AI gamedev bottleneck now is 3D gen and both 2D and 3D animations rather than the models themselves
AI-focused game engines would help too
