Against a mainstream media and their weeks of questions, our ruling parties and their thoughtless, abortive campaigns, there’s a chance of a win tomorrow. And no more than Keegan – “I'll tell you, honestly, I will love it if we beat them. Love it.” ontheditch.com/comment-highl…

'You want a president who will sign what's put in front of them'. If ever a sentence summed up why the nation shouldn't elect a gov candidate, it's this. Thinking people prefer their laws to be constitutional and a stay on giving the gov carte blanche to do as they wish.
There's a serious anti Government vibe to CC. You dont mind a bit or argy bargy but you want a President who will sign what's put in front of them. #aras25

Comment: Questions media won’t ask: why did Heather Humphreys sit in the Dáil while her party ignored parents desperate for school places for their disabled children; what did she do to help disabled people afford groceries without cutting essentials? ontheditch.com/comment-this-…

Today is the day Humphreys lost the race for the Áras. Half an hour in and not one reason as to why anyone should vote for her. But plenty of mudslinging. Absolutely pathetic stuff #Áras25

Imagine an elderly person trying to get to an appointment in letterkenny travelling from malin to luh….. would need to stay in a hotel the night before…. Rural Ireland is neglected. Donegal is neglected by FFG

New anti-Connolly talking point: we need a president who won't 'insult our allies', ie someone who won't even mildy criticise Washington, which controls Irish politics, and tells Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael what they can and cannot do.

Sharing again. When @FRANCE24's @HerveAmoric highlighted the #DefectiveConcreteCrisis. All homes in this clip have further deteriorated because of ISA due to Pyrrhotite. 1 year later. Still in limbo.Failed.@PadraigMacL @ProfPaulDunlop @charleswardtd @JamesBrowneTD @EU_Commission

Like moths to a flame; the trolls happily expose their ignorance- in every sense of the word- in the comments. See below for a handy block list.
I want to take a moment to express genuine appreciation for Catherine Connolly TD, whose understanding of the defective concrete crisis stands out. In today's debate, she was the only other TD in the chamber who spoke on this issue and, as always. @catherinegalway @100_redress

facebook.com/share/v/19xNS1Z… The truth is simple: the powers exist, the political will does not. And while the Government delays, families continue to suffer and despair grows deeper. That is the reality we are living with, not the version voiced by Government today.

This is what we need. I have the utmost respect for this lady.
"Great to see Catherine Connolly in Donegal - her campaign's courage, compassion and focus on listening to communities shows exactly the kind of president Ireland needs. When someone is talking about equality, transparency and putting people first, they deserve to be heard.

The state doesn’t like us. Our readers do. Thanks to your support we can keep doing what we do. Things like (this year alone): Exposing the scandal of unnecessary surgeries at Dublin children’s hospitals Reporting on Brendan McDonagh’s (remember him?) use of aliases in his property dealings and his €10,000 a week short-term rental property Revealing the state’s role in the sale of Israeli war bonds and failure to stop illegal weapons flights through Irish territory Challenging the state in the High Court on those flights We do this with your support. You can support us with subscriptions – starting at €5 a month – and one time donations at ontheditch.com We appreciate it. We’ll keep at it
